604 Motorcars Automotive, operating as 604 Motor Cars, is a licensed BC motor dealer (Dealer #D50832) located in Surrey, British Columbia. This policy covers the information we collect through this website and in the course of selling and financing vehicles.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email and phone number.
• Details about a vehicle you enquire about or want to trade in: year, make, model, mileage, condition and photos.
• Financing and credit application details: your home address, your employer's name, address and phone number, your income and, if you choose to provide it, your Social Insurance Number.
• Basic technical data our hosting provider records when you visit: IP address, browser and pages viewed.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, prepare a trade-in valuation, prepare your financing options and submit your application to lenders, complete a sale, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations as a licensed motor dealer.

Cookies and analytics

The public pages of this website set no tracking cookies of their own. Our staff portal sets a session cookie so employees can stay signed in; it is never set for visitors. Our hosting provider may set technical cookies that are needed to serve the site securely.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It collects anonymous usage data only — no cookies, no profiles and nothing that identifies you. We do not run advertising trackers, and we will update this policy if that changes.

Who we share it with

Your information is kept for 604 Motor Cars' own use. The only outside parties we share it with are the banks and lenders we submit your file to in order to obtain approval of your financing, and only the information they need to make that decision. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any other third party.

Our website and records are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure providers that process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, and we may disclose information where required by law.

Where your information is stored

This website and its database run on cloud infrastructure that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. While your information is held there it may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access requests by their authorities. Our providers are bound by contract to protect your information and to process it only on our instructions.

Marketing messages

We only contact you about the enquiry, trade-in or application you sent us. We do not send marketing emails or texts unless you ask us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time by replying or calling the number below.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected and for the retention periods required of BC motor dealers, and we delete or anonymize it after that.

How we protect it

Your information is stored in access-controlled systems that only authorized 604 Motor Cars staff can sign in to, and it is sent over encrypted connections.

Age

This website and our financing services are meant for people who have reached the age of majority in British Columbia, which is 19. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger.

If our business changes hands

If 604 Motor Cars is sold or merged with another business, customer records may transfer to the new owner as part of that sale. The new owner must continue to handle your information under this policy.

Your choices and rights
